Pre-Departure
Information: This blog will be used for weekly (hopefully) updates on my experience abroad living in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. To say the least, the entirety of Pre Departure, the orientations, webinars, goodbyes, have been exhausting, and yet somehow also exhilarating. For background, I applied for this program because a major part of my lineage comes from New Delhi, and I thought it would be very interesting to explore a side of me that has, until now, remained untouched. Little did I know that I would actually be chosen ( I guess life has a way of creating opportunities). I am more than excited to be partaking, and subsequently sharing, my travels and look forward to departing in two days (Already??). I will be residing in India for about 10 Months, the entirety of my junior year in highschool (About 40 Blog Posts....I think). Thank you to my friends and family, and of course, the wonderful YES-Aroad/AFS staff, for allowing me to partake in something like this. I will be posting more soon.
